GLASS MENAGERIE
November 9-19
Tickets-$21.00 Members ; $23.00 Students and Seniors ; $25.00 Non-Members
Directed by:
Danielle Howard
One of the greatest American plays of the 20th century by icon Tennessee Williams. The Glass Menagerie explores the visceral bonds of family with humor and depth. Southern matriarch Amanda frets constantly over her two live-in adult children—the painfully shy Laura and Laura’s restless poet brother, Tom. With great cajoling, Tom brings home a possible suitor for Laura, but reality soon casts a shadow on Amanda’s dreams for both her children. This iconic, emotional and enduring family drama made Williams famous and has become a classic of the American repertoire.

HOLIDAY PANTO
December 8-23
Tickets – $16.00 Adults; $14.00 Members, Seniors, Students
Edward Speck and Joshua Shack bring back a favorite Theater in the Open holiday panto, Through the Wardrobe! Fauns and turkish delight and pies-in-the-face return to the Firehouse Center for the Arts! Why? Because it’s panto time silly! Will our heroes survive their adventures in the wardrobe? Will good triumph over evil? Will someone throw balled-up socks at you? Yes, yes, and DEFINITELY. See you for another holiday panto this December!
Wondering what, exactly, a Panto is? Pantomime, or panto, is a long-standing musical-comedy theatrical tradition, performed throughout the United Kingdom, often during the holiday season. Panto is playful, inventive family entertainment that begins with a familiar story or fairy tale, then takes off from there. Part of the fun with panto is the audience participation — it takes only a few minutes to realize that the actors are having as much fun as the audience! With panto, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy, young and old, alike.
