Feel like celebrating Summer 2015 in style? Need inspiration for your garden?
Sunday, June 7, the Cushion House Garden (98 High) will host an old-fashioned garden party. Party guests will stroll through a wonderfully restored 19th century garden and enjoy champagne, hors d’oeuvres and live music. Join the fun 4-7pm.
On Saturday, June 13, The Museum of Old Newbury’s Garden Tour is back for its 36th year with the theme “Visions of Paradise.”
The gardens highlighted on this year’s tour are lush, botanical works of art located throughout the Newburyport area.
A ticket gains you access to all ten gardens on the tour, including the Museum’s own Cushing House Garden, a lovingly restored 19th century gem.
Tickets are valid both Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm. The event takes place rain or shine.
Purchase tickets online, or call 978-462-2681.
The Museum of Old Newbury preserves and interprets the history of “Old Newbury, “which includes Newbury, Newburyport, and West Newbury, from settlement to the present.
The Museum carries out its mission in part through the ownership and operation of the Cushing House Museum, the Perkins Engraving Plant, and other historic structures on the Cushing House grounds.
The Museum furthers its purpose through lectures, exhibitions, educational programs, school tours, publications, a research library, and cooperation with area groups interested in local history.
